Key Responsibilities:
- Execute QA efforts to validate products against defined requirements
- Work effectively within Agile development environments
- Design, build, and maintain automated tests for web and API-based applications
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to provide timely, actionable feedback
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Identify, document, and track defects, and support debugging and resolution
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage
- Contribute to improving QA processes, tools, and automation practices
- Track and report on QA metrics to support quality and release readiness
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance testing practices.
Must-have Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Web Systems, or related field—or equivalent QA experience
- 6+ years of hands-on experience as a QA Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of software testing best practices, methodologies (white/black box, integration), and QA processes (system, acceptance, regression testing)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or similar technologies, with experience developing automated tests using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, or PyTest
- Experience testing APIs and working with XML, XSD, JSON, REST, and SOAP
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, and tools such as JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including familiarity with cloud-native services (e.g., EKS, ECR)
- Experience testing modern applications, including AI/LLM-based features, and using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate test development
- Experience testing security scenarios and collaborating with Security teams on automated scans (e.g., container scans, TPS scans)
- Strong ability to design test scenarios and create detailed, repeatable test cases while managing multiple projects.
